In recent years, environmental requirements for imported products in Europe and the United States have become very stringent. Some regions have even banned ordinary adhesive tapes from entering. As a result, eco-friendly water-activated kraft paper tape has begun to be adopted by export-oriented companies. However, the characteristics of water-activated kraft paper tape result in extremely low manual carton sealing efficiency and easy waste of tape. Water-activated carton sealing machines effectively solve these problems
Working Principle
This machine uses a handle to control the tape dispensing length. The tape length can be set arbitrarily, and the tape is dispensed by pulling the handle.
Product Advantages
Customers often report issues such as poor adhesion and slipping after the water-activated tape is moistened. Slipping and weak adhesion are common problems when using water-activated kraft paper tape for carton sealing. The main cause is applying too much or too little water. Although water-activated kraft paper tape becomes adhesive after being moistened, applying more water does not mean better adhesion.
Generally, the standard for the amount of water required for water-activated kraft paper tape is as follows:
1.Using a cotton cloth for application: Wet the cotton cloth and wring it until it no longer drips. This method has low efficiency and is prone to waste.
2.Using a sponge box: The sponge should be fully saturated. Press the sponge with a finger until a small amount of water appears. This method has low efficiency, is prone to waste, and uneven water application often leads to over-wetting or poor adhesion.
3.Using a water-activated tape dispenser/cutter: The brush is fully saturated with water, and the water output from the water tank is adjusted according to the machine’s requirements. Using a water-activated kraft paper tape cutter is relatively faster and can be used for production line operations. It integrates length setting, cutting, and water application, eliminating waste.
